2nd Day: Udaipur to Chamret (2090mts.) 15km. 5hrs.
From Udaipur follow the road,which is recently constructed, through the narrow gorge making the entrance to the miyar valley. Cross the wooden bridge from Chamret and continue on the left bank on the valley..The village Chamret is with Mani walls and prayer flags is the first village of the Miyar valley, on the way visit the monastery of the Karpat.
3rd Day: Chamret to Urgos (3250mts) 6hrs.
The trail leads through flowered meadows and peas and millet fields before re crossing the Miyar River on the well constructed bridge to the village of charpat.Urgos is the confluence with the valley leading to the mount “MENTHOSA”(6443mts.) Over night camp.
4th Day: Urgos to Tharang. (3450 mts.) 6hrs.
Now gentle walk down to the river floor, A newly constructed bridge to be cross , further 2kms. On the left side of the valley to the village Khanjjar(3450mts.)
The trail crosses a wild alluvium fan before a gradual ascent to the highest tharang 200mts. Climb to a beautiful camp site, with numerous snow clad peaks of the Chenab valley.
5th Day: Tharang to Gumbha Nala (3900mts) 6hrs.
New gradual ascent over the rich grazing pasture, yak herds from Zanskar can be seen nearby Tralasuma- pass, From camp at Gumbha Nala , you can glimpses of some of the 6000 mts. Peaks of Himalayas.
6th Day: Gumbha Nala To camp 1 (4200mts) 6hrs.
From camp two hrs. trek to the shepherd’s camp locally known as Khai got (4100mts) further to open meadows crossing some side streams. A comfortable base for heading to zanskar.
7th Day: Camp 1 to camp II (4750mts.) 7 hrs.
Miyar Glacier, which is 28 kms. Long from the camp at the snow glacier, there is choice of routs. We walk across the terminal moraine to the left side of the glacier, Rout turning ups and downs along the increasingly ill defined trail.
Demanding terrain for the 7 hrs.untill the confluence with side glacier.
8th Day: Camp II to Kangla(5450mts.) to CampIII(4800mts.)
Magnificent views of down the valley to Menthosa(6443mts.). at the head of the glacier, A large snow field curves to the east side to the bank of pass250mts. Ascent from the snow clad field to the pass is not hard, better to rope up to the crossing crevasses 1.5 kms. Long Kangla Pass enclosed by the rock cliff to the north and snow wall to the south. After crossing the Kangla Pass camp near the two confluences of two streams
9th Day: Camp III to Barden. 5hrs.
Now follow the trail right side of the valley, crossing the many side streams and grassy campsitesn2to 3 km. down to the valley. Arriving at rocky platitude, the trail descent steeply in places through meadows and boulders fields.Tenasa Tokpo remain on the right bank, it flows down to a grassy meadows above the Tsarap River continue two hrs. to reach Barden. Camp over night.
10th Day: Barden to Padum (3540mts.) 6hrs.
A well defined trail on the left bank of the Tsarap river continues to Padum over night camp.
From Padum we can continue to the Lamayuru or Drive to Kargil then to Leh. By the surface transport
